1. How does the auction work?
Every month, we select one original contemporary piece from a featured artist’s studio. Bidding is open online for 7 days. Registered bidders submit bids through our portal, and the highest bid wins the piece.
2. Are there buyer premiums?
No. Unlike traditional auction houses that add up to 25% buyer fees, we charge a 0% buyer premium. Winning bidders pay only the final bid amount plus actual coordinated shipping fees.
3. How is shipping handled?
The artist is responsible for packing, fully insuring, and shipping the artwork within 5 business days of payment. We provide tracking and hold payments in escrow until delivery is confirmed.
The Premium Markups of Art Trading
Traditional auction houses charge buyer premiums of 20-25% on top of the hammer price, while charging the artist another 15-20%. This inflating markup discourages collectors and severely reduces the creator’s earnings. We eliminate this with flat commissions and zero buyer premiums.
